Event rules and conditions

In entering this event all participants have agreed to an event waiver whereby they enter and participate at their own risk, and are responsible for their own actions at all times, releasing event organisers, sponsors and associated parties from any liability to the extent permitted by law.

All roads are open, and participants must follow normal road rules at all times. State Highway 2 is out of bounds to all participants at all times, no exceptions. Where traffic is involved participants must take responsibility for their own decisions and actions

Participants are responsible for their own personal safety and must carry any personal medication they may require during the event.

Teams must move together throughout the event and may not split up to reach more checkpoints.  Any team where members are seen to be more than 30m apart will be penalised or disqualified.

Participants under age 18 must be entered by their parent or guardian

Participants under age 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the event - there must be at least one adult per team.

The organisers may alter the event, without refund, should the situation make it necessary for participant or staff safety

Entries are not transferable to another participant, unless done so officially by the event organiser

Participants must obey officials, traffic management providers, police and first aid personnel at all times

Use of E-scooters and motorised vehicles is prohibited during the event.  E-bikes are permitted, but participants must abide by all road rules at all times.

All participants must attend the pre-event briefing at the start, 10min prior to the start

Any participants wishing to consume alcohol during the event must do so in licensed premises. 

The organisers reserve the right to withdraw any participant who A) does not comply with race rules or B) they consider unsafe to continue due to medical conditions

There will be road controls in place around the course, and the roads are closed for the duration of the event.  BUT we must cater for access for emergency vehicles.  At all times you must watch for traffic and obey marshal and traffic management instruction.  Course marshals are in place for direction and safety only.  Where traffic is involved participants must take responsibility for their own decisions and actions

Participants must be prepared for the possibility of cold weather and dress accordingly.  Please bring spare clothing for after you finish.  The race organisers reserve the right to modify, postpone or cancel the event.

First aid will be provided on at the start/finish during the event and at certain challenge stations. However participants are responsible for carrying any personal medication they may require during the event.  Marshals are first aid trained.  In the event of a collapse or severe medical incident please either call 111 yourself, or contact the nearest event staff member and they will arrange for medical treatment.
